Jewellery box
In February 2023, I had the opportunity to visit and work in Vincent de Rijk's workshop in Rotterdam. During this time I made a unique jewellery box from layers of different coloured acrylic sheets. By moulding these layers together with acrylic resin, I created a solid block from which the main body of the box was milled. The result is a jewellery box with a semi-transparent body, where the interplay of the individual layers creates a colour gradient effect that gives the overall simple form a visually interesting appearance.
